service designer passionate about the interplay of human behaviour, research and design

Simon Jimenez J., MSc.

I am a user-centred designer and design researcher passionate about the interplay of human behaviour, research and design. I completed the 'Integrated Product Design' master's program at the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at the Delft University of Technology, where I specialised in Service Design and Design Research. I always strive to find the most creative methods for understanding people and for translating insights into viable project goals, strategies, and designs that add value to people’s lives (digital – service – product)

Furthermore, I am co-editor of the ‘Positive Design Reference Guide’, an initiative by the Delft Institute of Positive Design, and co-founder of SEVEN innovation, an Amsterdam-based innovation studio.

I have worked as a researcher at the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) on Positive Design and Design Aesthetics, and as a freelance designer and researcher for a broad range of clients in the Netherlands and abroad.

I am passionate about connecting research to design, and about innovation processes. Especially when I can translate research results into products and services that produce positive emotions and bring happiness to people.
